The Wines of Sauvignon Republic (plus some groovy castaways)

Some of you may remember when we featured the three wines of Sauvignon Republic a little over a year ago as a sample flight. It’s really a very interesting project founded by four committed and talented guys to show the various expressions of Sauvignon Blanc throughout the world. All the wines are vinified in the same manner, so you really get a sense of what the specific climates and soils of these regions impart into the wine. One thing they all have in common is that they’re delicious and well balanced. From there… well you might actually be surprised to find they’re made from the same grape.

Because they only produce these three wines, we’re going to bookend them with two other remarkable wines from the same house that represents them. The Delamotte Champagne never fails to impress and the Krydenweiss Riesling, besides being from a stellar vintage is an outstanding an impressive wine.

The menu practically wrote itself as I tasted through these and I’m particularly excited about this dinner. We hope to see you there.
