Jujube is a modern asian fusion restaurant and memorable dining experience in Chapel Hill, NC. Our cuisine is rooted in the flavors of China and Vietnam, distilled and whimsically refined with western sensibilities. Part of creating an inspired dining experience is getting out of the way and allowing tradition and the beauty of nature to show through, and part of it is putting your individual stamp on each dish. Jujube does both by weaving classic Asian dishes along with one-of-a-kind creations born from our hearts into one, eclectic menu.

Odisea Wine Dinner

Odisea Wine Dinner

April 3, 2014

From Charlie...

I still remember the last Odisea wine dinner like it was yesterday.  The wines, like the representative from the winery, were unabashed yet charming.  These are bold, yet real wines, an intriguing portfolio that includes both traditional old-world blends and some, well, not-so-traditional ones as well.  But, through them all, there’s a ripeness and polish that really compliments our food well.

This was one of those menus that basically wrote itself as Ian and I tasted through the wines, the dishes just leapt from the glass to the page and, before you know it, we had a menu.  I love it when it works that way!

These are all small production wines and, I think, represent an outstanding value given the craftsmanship and uniqueness of them.  What I think is going to be interesting is that we’re primarily focusing on the Cochon series, which is their homage to the RhoneValley.  It’ll create a fine theme to the dinner.

Now, I could likely eat five courses of just the oysters and Albarino, but we thought you all might appreciate a bit more variety.  So we’ve decided to do as we normally do and actually do five different courses ;)
